Safety Actions & Overall Safety Assessment

Picture
Safety actions are those activities completed by the investigator that address specific, identified safety issues (removal, referral to Crisis Response Team, safety plan with family, injunction, etc.).  It should not used for tasks to be completed in order to assess risk, only completed safety actions linked to a specific safety concern.

The overall safety assessment is a summary of the identified risks and protective factors.  It should also include the response, if any, to the identified risks and the next steps in the assessment/investigative process.  Below are a couple of examples.
